Competing Dogs

Imp. Shep

Co-owned with Rising Sun Farm. Thanks to Becky and Steve for the opportunity to handle and co-own this wonderful dog. Shep is a very "pushy" dog with tons of "style." He comes with the strong influence of the Brady lines.  Photo from Rising Sun Farm.

BC Shep

Cub was born with a natural outrun and tons of push.  He is the most intense and natural dog I have had the pleasure of working.  Many thanks to Becky and Steve of Rising Sun Farm for the chance to co-own such a talented boy.

Imp. Bill

Co-owned with Rebecca Beckmann and Steve Burdine, Rising Sun Farm (whom we thank for the great cattle photos), Bill is a very well bred dog imported from the UK.  He is triple registered with ISDS, ABCA and AKC. He has a wonderful, biddable temperament, and a powerful, but cool, way with livestock. He would work all day, but is a calm gentleman in public and at home with a great “off" button. He is a full brother to Bobby Dalziel’s 2004 Scottish National winner Spot.

Edge made his AKC debut at the 2001 National Specialty going straight to the Advanced Level, getting all three legs for his Course A Herding Excellent title in one weekend!  Edge finished his AKC championship in Nov with a win and HIT.

Edge didn’t stop there. He finished his AHBA HTD III as well as his ADV ASCA title, and finished in the top 10 VBCA for 2002. In 2004 Edge was the VBCA Res Champion Open Ranch, and fourth in the 2004 BSCA National Specialty ADV B.

Remembering Old Friends

Granite was very intense and always on, with power and a ton of push. A handful on stock.  Off the field Granite was easy to live with, because of his sweet and outgoing temperament.

Keepstone Farm was founded in 2001 for Susan's first Border Collie, DuPont.

DuPont finished his AKC course A championship winning his class and taking HIT, going on to finish his course B advanced title with back-to-back wins.

DuPont was also an AHBA Champion.  He earned multiple HITs in AKC, AHBA, and ASCA, having advanced titles in sheep and ducks, and a started ASCA cattle title.

DuPont was the 2004 Open Ranch Champion of the VBCA. 2004 BCSA National Specialty ADV B winner.

DuPont is one of the few dogs that has earned the BCSA Border Collie Stock Dog of Distinction award, requiring excellence in both AKC and AHBA trials.
